Thank you Sean for this idea. It's is brilliant. I'm creating a service which lets users register and claim their own subdomain. When I was developing on localhost, I needed to manually write a new line for each subdomain in drivers/etc/hosts-file...

Now, everytime I am developing on localhost, I'll go to hexxie.com or subdomain.hexxie.com. Thank you!

Dear Kristof,

I was wondering if could you tell me more about...

From this article.

http://kkovacs.eu/painless-subdomains-on-your-laptop

I would like to do something like same what you did, but instead of the subdomains search for a folder on directory can it go to main path and the subdomain as a parameter.

I already have a question on stackoverflow. Can you please check and post me your idea.

http://stackoverflow.com/questions/2385595/is-there-a-way-to-create-subdomain-like-url-redirection-using-htaccess

Thanks
